Whether you're a Marine, veteran Marine, FMF Corpsman, or just a civilian who wants to make a difference in your local area, the Marine Corps League is the place for YOU. The Jones, Wolin, & O'Brien Detachment 771 helps a number of veterans organizations as well as worthwhile charities.
Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps, banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from the Marine Corps that they may effectively promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy. We voluntarily aid and render assistance to all Marines and veteran Marines and their widows and orphans, and perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps. By fitting acts, we observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.

To join the Marine Corps League as a regular member, you must have served in the United States Marine Corps or as a FMF Corpsman for more than 90 days, and the character of your service has been honorable, and if discharged, you are in receipt of an honorable discharge, and be willing to provide proof of service upon request.
To become an Associate Member of the Marine Corps League, you must be willing to support the aims and ideals of the Marine Corps League. Fees for Associate Members are the same as those for a Regular Member.
There are two ways to join the Marine Corps League. You can join as a Member At Large at the National WEB site. Just download and fill out the Online Membership Application and mail to National Headquarters along with your membership fee.
The other way is to join your local detachment. The Jones, Wolin, & O'Brien Detachment 771 is headquartered in Wheeling, WV and serves the northern panhandle of the state of West Virginia, extreme east Ohio, and extreme west Pennsylvania. The Annual Membership Fee is $ 40.00 and is due on or before September 1st of each year.
Life Membership Fees (current as of September 2019)
To become a Life Member, you must already be a "Member in Good Standing". That means becoming a member and paying your initial dues first. Yes, according to the National Bylaws, you could join the League, pay your Annual Dues and then pay your Life Membership Dues all in the same day.
All Memberships include a subscription to the
Marine Corps League's magazine "Semper Fi".
